Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Are there scholarships available?
Scholarships are awarded based on need. To apply for a scholarship, please request an application.
Q. Do Arrowhead credits transfer to other colleges or universities?
Most Bible schools accept transfer of some or all of our credits. If you have a specific school in mind, let us know and we'll check into it for you.
Q. What are classes like?
Classes are usually one-week each in length. Each week students have a different professor who will live on-campus for the duration of his or her class Our professors come from schools and churches all over the U.S. and most have a Master's or a Doctorate level degree. Class meets three hours each morning, Monday through Friday.
Q. Where is the nearest airport? What about transportation and student vehicles?
The nearest airport is located in Billings (about a two hour drive from campus). We can arrange transportation from the airport. Students may keep a vehicle for personal transportation on campus.
Q. What is student housing like?
We have two dormitories, one for women and one for men. Each student is matched with a roommate (unless married, in which case we have married-student housing available). Each dormitory has a lounge and kitchen area.
Q. What extracurricular activities does Arrowhead offer?
Because of our location we can pursue many outdoor activities: horseback riding, skeet & sporting clays, fishing, hiking, camping, basketball, volleyball, swimming, sledding, skiing, snowmobiles, etc. Students are often invited to staff homes for movies and games in the "family tradition."
Q. Can I board my horse at Arrowhead?
Yes. Please download and read our horse boarding policy.
Q. What is Arrowhead’s Denominational Affiliation?
Arrowhead attracts home schooled, public schooled, and international students from all walks of life and from
many different denominational backgrounds. Arrowhead Bible College is a branch of a larger ministry called
Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch, which is part of the
Evangelical Church of North America
(Western Conference).
Q. What are the classes and workload like?
Classes are held in the morning hours between breakfast and lunch--three hours with two short breaks. Each
week is a different class taught by a different Professor. Each professor has his or her own teaching style:
some teach by lecture, some with interactive discussion; some require quizzes and papers, and some require
group presentations. Each professor lives on-campus for the week and is available to the students outside of
classtime as well. Homework assignments and study time occupy most afternoons or evenings during the weekdays.
Work Detail duties (washing dishes, cleaning facilities, etc) add to the work load, but do not take away from
study time and help keep the cost of tuition down, and are a necessary part of the overall service focus.
Q. What do you mean by “Wilderness”?
The nearest small town is 25 minutes from campus, and the nearest city is an hour and a half from campus
(airport, shopping, etc). The Arrowhead campus is bordered by Custer National Forest. The Beartooth
Mountains and the forest provide an awesome backdrop for studying the Bible and the Creator. By limiting
distractions students can better focus on their studies and spiritual growth. On campus, cell phone reception
is mostly non-existent; however, the campus is equipped with wireless internet. Internet access is limited so
that it does not consume a student’s time.
How much is tuition?
Tuition is $7250 (please check out our admissions page). This does not
include books, mission trips and personal expenses. A refundable room deposit ($100) is added to the tuition
deposit.
Will my credits transfer to another school?
Yes! If you are interested in transferring to a four-year Christian school, our office will work with you on
contacting your school of choice and pursuing credit transfer. Arrowhead is careful to line up excellent
Professors with good credentials, and classes recognized and accepted by larger schools in their own programs.
What is a “Mentor”?
Each student is matched with a senior staff member to meet together weekly for discipleship. This is an
intentional relationship focused on a student's personal spiritual growth and lifestyle. Mentors help
students seek and discern truth in the Bible, ask tough questions, and challenge the student to pursue God's
standards and direction in all areas of life.
