Admission Requirements

Spiritual Qualifications

A commendable Christian character is required and the student should have the evidences of a Christian lifestyle. A clear Christian testimony is to be included in the application process and references will be contacted to verify the Christian character of each applicant.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have a diploma from a standard high school or its equivalent. A certificate of eligibility on the basis of the G.E.D. test will suffice for applicants beyond the normal age of high school students (or for students out of special situations requiring the seeking of the G.E.D. certificate).

Physical Qualifications

The applicant must be in good physical and mental health. A medical examination by a licensed physician is recommended. Applicants must provide the school with proof of medical insurance prior to entering studies at the college, or have proof of the ability to cover expenses should medical needs arise.

English as a Second Language

If any student applies from situations where English is not a primary language, the college may require the student to submit satisfactory scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language program(TOEFL). It will be expected that any student have a sufficient use of the English language to be able to profit from the lectures and class material.

Application Procedure

All prospective students should submit an application for admission as early as possible prior to the semester he/she expects to enter. Our strong discipleship philosophy is a great benefit to our students, but it also requires us to be selective. Therefore the timing of your application is significant. The following application materials are required before a student will be accepted at the college.

  • A personal application that is representative of the applicant's academic, spiritual, and emotional ability including a personal biography in essay form.
  • An identification photo approximately two by three inches must accompany application.
  • Official high school and college (where applicable) transcripts sent directly from the academic institute.
  • Upon official notification of acceptance, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required and will be credited toward the first semester's tuition.
  • A completed biographical sketch.
  • An official medical form completed by a licensed physician.
  • The URL of your facebook/myspace/web blog, etc. (if you have one)
  • Recommendation forms to be completed by persons over 21 years of age, including the applicant's pastor. Arrowhead will contact these people for character references.

Notification of Acceptance

When all materials are received by Arrowhead, the applicant will receive a letter of acceptance if the student is approved for the coming school year. The college is not obligated to enroll a student who has not received a letter of acceptance. When the applicant receives the acceptance letter, the tuition deposit is due. This completes the application process.

Nondiscriminatory Policy

Arrowhead admits qualified students regardless of race, color, sex, handicap, age, and national or ethnic origin. In the case of handicaps, the physical demands of the wilderness experience will limit acceptance procedures to a level where reasonable participation is possible.

The school year will run for the equivalency of two college semesters, one before the Christmas break and one following the Christmas break. One half of the year's total expenses (tuition costs and room and board) are due and payable in full at registration in the fall. The second installment will be due and payable in full after the Christmas break.

Tuiton Refund Schedule

If, for any reason, a student chooses to and/or needs to withdraw from the program, tuition fees will be refunded in direct proportion to the number of weeks completed and the number of weeks remaining in that semester.
