A strategic advantage that Arrowhead has is found in it’s unique recruitment of professors. We hand pick professors from all around the country, fly them in, and have them teach for a concentrated week. Because of Arrowhead’s breathtaking campus that shares boundaries with Custer National Park, the professors are thrilled to come and teach (they are just as excited to back pack up into the mountains as the students!). It literally becomes a highlight of their year when they are able to come to Arrowhead.

Professors at Arrowhead Bible College live on-campus during their week of teaching. Each instructor brings their own style to the classroom and material taught. Students have a unique opportunity to not only learn from their professors during scheduled class time, but also to eat meals and socialize with professors outside of the classroom setting as well as to seek additional instruction and answers to their questions.

The academic year runs the end of August through the end of April, for a total of 32 weeks of study. Breaks are scheduled as follows: a short break at Thanksgiving, a long break at Christmas/New Year, and a short break in March.

Weekly academic outline (explanation of required class time/ homework hours) Preparation for class over the weekend (required Bible Reading and/or texts)—this allows the professors to begin teaching as soon as and as much as possible. Because classes are only a week in length, it is necessary to prepare ahead of time for the start of Monday’s class. 3 hours in class daily—professor lecture/discussion, plus 15 hours homework assigned for completion outside of class. Finals: Professor finals may be written papers, presentations (individual or group), essay or multiple choice tests.
