About Us
Arrowhead Bible College (Arrowhead) is a one-year Bible program, which started in the fall of 2001. The college is a part of Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch which was founded in 1976. This ministry is an extension of the Western Conference of the Evangelical Church of North America.
Our one-year academic program is designed to form
the basis of most first year curriculum at Bible colleges
and satisfies the requirements for many of the classes
in religious studies at liberal arts institutions. The curriculum is designed to transfer to other Christian
colleges and universities. In addition to rigorous academic study, students at Arrowhead also experience deep
fellowship and discipleship through one-on-one mentoring and family groups. Our wilderness setting allows students
to spend dedicated time in a place where they are removed from many of life's pressures and concerns and can
focus on their spiritual growth.
Classes cover specific books of the Bible (i.e. Psalms, I-II Kings, etc), specific topics in the Bible (i.e. Creation, Stewardship, etc), and Bible study techniques and tools (Bible Study Methods and Apologetics, etc). The first semester focuses on the Old Testament, which provides a background and foundation for understanding the New Testament and God's design for salvation through Christ Jesus. The second semester focuses on the New Testament which leads into exploring the Christian's role in contemporary society, based on Christ's instruction and the example of the early Christian's interaction with each other and outreach in their communities.
We take our discipleship program very seriously. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations . . . Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28 : 19a - 20a. Since discipleship carries eternal importance, and because of our overwhelming desire to honor the Most High God, entering into this endeavor is not to be taken lightly nor approached flippantly. The idea is to be intentional in meeting weekly to study the Bible: not to “fix” the students, but to come along side them and build a relationship that will hopefully extend beyond their time at Arrowhead. Repentance and belief in the Gospel of the kingdom is how to become a disciple. Then they are to be enfolded into the family of faith being identified with the community of disciples, in order to be taught to “observe all that I have commanded you.” Each student will be matched with a staff member for the year to be trained in God’s word, doing our best to equip students for wherever God takes them.
We are located 107 miles from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone Park (30 miles direct line).
The nearest Airport (car rental available): Billings (1 1/2 hours)
The nearest Medical Clinic: Absarokee (25 minutes)
There is skiing and shopping in Red Lodge (45 minutes)
Arrowhead campus is close to the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness of southern Montana, bordered by Custer National Forest. Campus rests at 5,600 ft. elevation, four miles off a main highway. The community is conservative and gives the sense of an “old west” mentality. Our weather can be unpredictable: snowy in October or spring-like in January--you never know!
The rough mountain setting which surrounds campus is perfect
for outdoor
activities such as: hiking, camping, backpacking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, skiing, riflery,
archery, volleyball, basketball, paintball, and low ropes.
Our housing, dining, and classroom facilities are comfortable and up-to-date, yet
maintain the rustic feel of the wilderness.
